Mancherial: Former Congress MLC Kokkirala Premsagar Rao donated a laptop to Shanigarapu Shashikanth, a meritorious student who excelled in JEE-Advanced 2021 here on Sunday.
Premsagar Rao helped Shashikanth who secured 413th in the national level and topped the SC category in Telangana in JEE-Advanced, considering the poor financial background of his parents. He also assured Shashikanth of all support in the future. The son of a daily earner, Shashikanth hails from remote Rajampet village in Dandepalli mandal. He studied intermediate at a Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institution in Hyderabad. He was struggling to attend online classes as his parents could not afford to buy a laptop for him. The parents approached Premsagar Rao and urged him to provide the computer. District Congress Committee president K Surekha and many leaders of the party were present.
