Mancherial: Jail for commercial tax official 11 years after taking bribe of Rs. 4000
Pochaiah was arrested by ACB officials when he was allegedly receiving the bribe from Surender.

Mancherial: A special court for ACB cases in Karimnagar on Tuesday sentenced a deputy commercial tax officer (DCTO) of Luxettipet to three years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.4,000 for accepting a bribe of Rs.4,000 from an applicant 11 years ago.
Adilabad ACB DSP VV Ramana Murthy said Kumar Vivek, judge of the court, pronounced the verdict awarding the term against DCTO Thogari Pochaiah after finding him guilty for accepting the bribe from Alli Surender, a fertilizer shop owner from Muthyampalli in Kasipet mandal on September 27 in 2013.
Pochaiah was arrested by ACB officials when he was allegedly receiving the bribe from Surender. He demanded a bribe from Surender not to cancel his Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and not to cause convenience in running the shop.
