Mancherial: Vexed by the internal bickering among cadres and lack of efficient leaders in the party, Jaipur mandal Congress president Chippakurthi Venkanna resigned from the post and primary membership of the party on Wednesday.
Venkanna quit the party citing infighting among the party leaders. He stated that the party had no leaders to lead it in the mandal. His exit jolted the party as he was one of sincere activists of the outfit and Jaipur has been one of the bastions of the party for quite a long time. Jaipur is a part of Chenur Assembly constituency which is represented by TRS MLA Balka Suman.
On February 21, BJP’s Mandamarri town president Maddi Shankar and many other activists resigned from the primary membership of the party due to the anti-people’s policies and discrimination against Telangana by the union government. He said he was upset by the Centre’s indifferent attitude towards the State.
