Mancherial police arrest three for gambling, seize Rs 67,000
Three persons were arrested in Mancherial district for allegedly running a banned gambling operation on the outskirts of Chellayipet and Dugnepalli villages in Chennur mandal.
Mancherial: Three persons were arrested for allegedly being involved in banned gambling on the outskirts of Chellayipet and Dugnepalli villages in Chennur mandal on Sunday. Police seized cash amounting to Rs 67,000 and three mobile phones from them.
Police said that Janagama Mallaiah from Kommera village, and
Sammireddy and Bommara Shivareddy, both residents of Gangaram village were apprehended while committing the offence, when police raided a den following a tip-off. Around 15 more persons were absconding.
The identity of the accused is being established. One Thirupathi from Nagpur village was reportedly operating the den at a secret place located between the two villages.
