Mancherial: Srirampur, Mandamarri and Bellampalli Areas of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) have achieved 75 per cent to 99 per cent of their monthly targets with regard to mining of coal in the month of December.
Srirampur Area Chief General Manager M Suresh told pressmen that the area recorded 6.33 lakh tonnes of coal when compared to the target of 6.40 lakh tonnes of coal set for December, indicating an average 99 percent. Underground mines RK-5, SRP-1 and IK-1 achieved 100 percent of output in this month, he added.
Mandamarri Area Chief General Manager Chintal Suresh said that the area registered output of 3.92 lakh tonnes of coal from December 1 to 31 as against the target of 5.02 lakh tonnes, reflecting an achievement by 78 percent. He stated that measures were being taken to enhance the production and reach the target of January month.
Bellampalli Area Chief General Manager Sanjeeva Reddy said that Kairiguda open cast project located in the region saw production of 2.43 lakh tonnes when compared to the monthly target of 3.25 lakh tonnes suggesting 75 percent of achieving. He added that Bellampalli OCP-2 achieved 102 percent of output by mining 57,000 tonnes of coal as against the target 50,000 in December.
