Players of a handball team that beat Mahbubnagar district at the 46th state-level junior championship arrives in Mancherial on Monday
Mancherial: A handball team of boys and girls from the district won the title of the 46th state level junior championship by beating a team from Mahbubnagar district held Armoor town in Nizamabad district from November 29 to Sunday.
District Handball Association President Gone Shyamsundar Rao, secretary Kanaparthi Ramesh and District Olympic Association secretary Raghunath Reddy welcomed the team and congratulated it and their coach Sunarkar Aravind for clinching the championship. They said that the team brought recognition to the district. They stated that the team posted 21 goals against 14 scored by their opponents.
The handball association treasurer Ramesh Reddy, SGF secretary Phani Raju, Karate Association secretary Mahesh, tribal welfare sports officer Banda Meena Reddy, senior coach Shekhar, sportsmen Praveen and Kartheek were present.
