Mancherial woman undergoes chemotherapy as GGH launches cancer services
In a significant development for local healthcare, the Government General Hospital in Mancherial administered its first chemotherapy cycle at its newly established cancer care centre. A lung cancer patient from Thallapet received treatment under the supervision of GGH doctors, having previously undergone cycles in Hyderabad.

Mancherial: A female patient underwent a cycle of chemotherapy at a newly created cancer care centre in the government general hospital (GGH) for the first time here on Tuesday.
GGH medical superintendent Dr Harishchandra Reddy said that a woman, who was diagnosed with lung cancer from Thallapet successfully underwent the cycle of the chemotherapy at the centre for the first time.
She had two cycles at MNJ Cancer Hospital and Radium Institute-Hyderabad under the supervision of Dr Ashlesha of the GGH.
The officials of the hospital advised the public to utilise the facility. They said that cancer patients need not depend on hospitals in Hyderabad for chemotherapy.
