Mancherial: Youngster swept away in stream while catching fish
A 25-year-old man drowned in the Rallavagu stream on the outskirts of Mancherial while fishing on Sunday. Police said the stream was in spate due to heavy rains upstream. His body was recovered about 100 meters from the incident site.
Mancherial: A youngster accidentally was swept away in Rallavagu while catching fish in it on the outskirts of the town on Sunday.
Police said that Chintala Rakesh, 25, from NTR Colony met a watery grave when he was casting net for fish in the stream which was in spate due to heavy rains in upstream areas. His body was retrieved around 100 meters away from the spot of the incident.
Upon receiving information about the incident, ACP R Prakash and Inspector S Pramod Rao rushed to the spot and began a rescue operation. Expert swimmers were deployed to trace Rakesh.
