Sangareddy: Suspected marital discord led to the suicide of a woman and her husband within a gap of hours in Ilapur thanda under Ameenpur police station limits on Monday.
According to Ameenpur police, the couple Anusha (25) and her husband Lal Shekhar (32), natives of Peravali in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, had been living in Ilapur for the last few years. However, Anusha had started living with her parents in Ilapur, following differences with her husband for last few months.
Unable to find a solution to their issue, Anusha reportedly hanged herself at her parents’ house. After coming to know about his wife’s suicide, Lal Shekhar also hanged himself at his residence hours later. The incident left both the families in shock.
The police registered a case and probe is on. The bodies have been shifted to government hospital in Patancheru for postmortem.
