Married woman, lover attempt suicide in Telangana’s Adilabad
Raj Kumar and Pravallika try to kill themselves by consuming pesticide; police shift them to RIMS-Adilabad
Adilabad: A man, along with a woman with whom he was allegedly in a relationship before her marriage, attempted to die by consuming pesticide at CCI Colony here on Saturday.
Police said that Raj Kumar and Pravallika from Lokeshwaram mandal of Nirmal district were in a relationship for quite a long time. However, Pravallika was married off to a man by her family a week ago. Not ready to give up on her love for Raj Kumar, they went to their relatives in Adilabad recently, where they allegedly tried to kill themselves.
Locals who saw the two consuming pesticide alerted the police, who in turn shifted them to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad. Their condition was said to be stable.
