Married woman’s suicide in Hyderabad sparks violence in Warangal village
A woman named Sravanthi allegedly died by suicide after killing her two young sons in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The incident sparked tensions in her native village, Boda Manikya thanda of Warangal district, where her father and relatives set fire to her in-laws’ house and cattle shed in anger.

Warangal: The alleged death by suicide of a married woman after killing her two sons at Raghavendra Colony of Kukatpally in Hyderabad triggered tensions at Boda Manikya thanda of Chennaraopet mandal in the district on Tuesday.
The deceased, Sravanthi, daughter of Boda Bichya and Lakshmi of 16 thanda married Bhukya Praveen, son of Bhukya Shankar of Boda Manikya thanda after falling in love with him ten years ago. The couple had two sons Karthik (8) and Kaushik (6). Praveen works as a cab driver.
Upon learning the news of his daughter’s and grandchildren’s deaths, Bichya and his relatives reached Boda Manikya thanda; in a fit of rage poured petrol on Shankar’s house as well as his cattle shed and set them on fire.
Sravanthi’s family members alleged that she died by suicide as she could not endure harassment by her husband, who was reportedly having an extra-marital affair with another woman. On receiving information from the locals, Nekkonda police reached the village and launched an investigation into the incident.
