An argument over the sarpanch election turned violent in Cheruvukommu thanda of Warangal’s Chennaraopet mandal as Congress and BRS workers clashed, leaving several injured. Police registered cases and deployed tight security ahead of polling.
Mohammed Asif, a Sub-Inspector attached to the Special Branch in Chennaraopet, Warangal, died by suicide after reportedly struggling to arrange funds for his daughter’s wedding.
The preliminary notification of the order was issued by Principal Secretary to Government, Navin Mittal, on Friday, said Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy.
