MBA (IB) admissions open at IIFT

Last date to register is October 15; computer-based test on December 5

Hyderabad: Planning to pursue an MBA? Then an option that you could explore is an MBA in International Business being offered by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The MBA in International Business at the IIFT is a six-trimester general management programme with a focus on international business. The programme is aimed at imparting professional education and training for handling international business operations.


The residential general management programme is being offered at the IIFT campuses in Delhi and Kolkata (the Kakinada campus is subject to the approval of the University Grants Commission/Government of India). A notification for admissions into MBA (IB) 2022-24 has been released by the National Testing Agency.

Admissions will be done based on the computer-based test, group discussion, writing assessment and interview. Shortlisted candidates from the computer-based test will be called for a writing skill assessment followed by a group discussion and interview.

The computer-based test which will have multiple-choice questions (objective type) will be conducted from 10 am to 12 noon on December 5. It will be held in 68 test cities across the country including Hyderabad.

Candidates will be tested in quantitative analysis, reading comprehension and verbal ability, data interpretation and logical reasoning, and general awareness.

Applicants should have a recognised bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (45 per cent in the case of SC, ST and PwD categories). Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply provided they submit proof of requisite qualification. There is no age limit for the entrance test.

The registrations for the entrance test through the website – https://iift.nta.nic.in/ are underway. Registration fee for general/ general -EWS/OBC – NCL candidates is Rs 2,500, while for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender a fee of Rs 1,000 will be charged. For foreign nationals/NRIs, the fee is the US $ 200.

The last date to apply is October 15. After submitting the application form, candidates can make corrections, if any, in the form on the website from October 17 to 26. For more information, visit the website – https://iift.nta.nic.in/.
