MBA student dies of electrocution at Ganesh pandal in Hyderabad

A 22-year-old MBA first-year student, identified as Arya, died of electrocution at a Ganesh pandal at a private hostel of ICFAI University on Monday night. He reportedly came into contact with a live electric wire near the mandapam.

Hyderabad: An MBA first-year student died of electrocution at a Ganesh pandal at a private hostel, ICFAI University, under the Mokila Police Station limits on Monday night.

He was identified as Arya (22). According to information available, Arya was accidentally electrocuted when he came into contact with a live electric wire near the Ganesh mandapam set up at the hostel on Monday night and died on the spot.

Hostel and college staff informed his family members about the incident. The Mokila police are investigating the cause of electrocution.
