MCC violation: Telangana HC allows petition filed by Congress MLA
The petitioners sought to quash the criminal proceedings pending against them before the Special Judge at Nampally for MP/MLA cases

Hyderabad: Justice K Lakshman of Telangana High Court on Tuesday allowed a petition filed by Parigi Congress MLA T Ram Mohan Reddy and Congress Vikarabad president Ardha Sudhakar Reddy.
The petitioners sought to quash the criminal proceedings pending against them before the Special Judge at Nampally for MP/MLA cases.
It may be recalled that the Parigi police booked the duo for violation of Model Code of Conduct under the offence Sec 188 of IPC.
The petitioners contended that there was no disobedience of order promulgated by a public servant and that the complaint was lodged by an incompetent person.
The judge, considering the submissions made by the petitioners, allowed the criminal petition. The detailed order is awaited.
