MDMA racket busted; Hyderabad police trace links to Kerala and Bahrain
In a joint operation, Hyderabad police arrested two individuals involved in an MDMA drug racket, seizing narcotics and electronic gadgets worth Rs 5.5 lakh. The accused sourced drugs from a Bahrain-based supplier using WhatsApp and distributed them via dead drops in Bengaluru.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), along with the Chaderghat police arrested two persons, a local drug peddler and a transporter and seized 50 grams of MDMA and gadgets worth Rs 5.5 lakh on Wednesday night.
The accused were identified as Mohd Osman alias Abbu (33), a resident of Bandlaguda and Rahul (23) from Kollam in Kerala, currently residing in Bengaluru. The main supplier, Ashwin Das Ramanth, a native of Kerala and currently residing in Bahrain, is absconding.
Police said Osman sourced drugs from Ashwin via WhatsApp and collected supplies through Rahul, who acted on Ashwin’s instructions. The drugs were procured through dead drops in Bengaluru and sold in Hyderabad at higher rates to fund a lavish lifestyle.
