Medak: Ganesh festivites turns tragic as youth drowns while washing tractor
Ganta Srinivas (26) and his friends had installed an idol in the village. Since they wanted to immerse the idol on Saturday, the youth took the tractor into a tank to wash it before decorating it.
Medak: Ganesh festivities turned tragic in Avancha village of Narsapur mandal as a youth drowned in a tank while washing a tractor they were to use for the Ganesh idol procession on Saturday.
Ganta Srinivas (26) and his friends had installed an idol in the village. Since they wanted to immerse the idol on Saturday, the youth took the tractor into a tank to wash it before decorating it.
Srinivas went a bit deep into the water body unaware of its depth. He disappeared into the water body.
His friends attempted to save him but could not.
A case was registered. The body was taken to the government hospital in Narsapur for postmortem.
