Medak: Police have cracked the theft case reported at Sri Vanadurga Bhavani Temple Edupayala in Medak district on Saturday and recovered Rs 2.36 lakh cash, some gold and silver ornaments, and five smartphones from the accused person’s in-laws’ home at Sheelampally village in Chilipiched Mandal on Saturday. The accused was identified as Lakshma Reddy, a resident of Athamakur in Kamareddy district. Since his in-laws would live in Sheelampally, he kept the stolen valuables at father-in-law Kommannagari Bal Reddy’s residence. Lakshma Reddy was still absconding
Some unidentified miscreants broke into the Edupayala Temple during the intervening hours of Wednesday and Thursday by breaking a window.
After stealing the money and other valuables dropped by the devotees in Hundi placed in Sanctum Sanctorum, Laksham Reddy reached his in-law’s home and kept them in Washing Machine. After tracking the CC cameras, the Police led by DSP Saidulu have found that the accused reached Sheelampally. After recovering the cash and other valuables, the Police launched a hunt to nab the accused.
