Siddipet: Representatives of Telangana Development Forum America (TDF) donated Rs 10 lakh worth of medical kits on Monday to Asha workers and ANMs working in the rural parts of the district. TDF-India president Vatte Raja Reddy, TDF-India general secretary Matta Rajeshwar Reddy and former president Murali handed over oxygen concentrators, pulse oxyimeters, thermometers, gloves, N-95 masks and others to Siddipet district administration from the hands of Collector P Venkatrami Reddy at his chambers in Siddipet on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector appreciated the TDF for being concerned about the well-being of Telangana though they were staying in the US. Hailing the work of Asha workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Collector said that Asha workers discharged their duties bravely even though the relatives of Covid-19 infected patients feared to touch their own relatives. Reddy appreciated the work of other frontline warriors too. He further said that they will put the medical kits to maximum use.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson V Roja Sharma, Additional Collector Muzammil Khan, Municipal Chairman K Manjula, District Medical and Health Officer K Manjula, RMO Dr Kasinath and others were present.
