Medical student dies by suicide in Siddipet

Santosh left his room on Thursday morning saying that he had to attend bio-chemistry examination, but returned to the hostel room within no time

Siddipet: Megavath Santosh (18), a first year medical student, was found hanging at his hostel room in Government Medical College in Siddipet on Thursday.  Santosh left his room on Thursday morning saying that he had to attend bio-chemistry examination, but returned to the hostel room within no time.

His friends found him hanging from the ceiling fan an hour later in his room. Santosh reportedly left a suicide note, but the police did not confirm it. The body has been shifted to Government Hospital, Siddipet, for postmortem. ACP Siddipet and other officials rushed to the spot and launched an investigation. The ACP said they are yet to ascertain the reason for Santosh ending his life. A case has been registered.
