Medicover Hospitals launches advanced eye centre in Hitec City

Medicover Hospitals, Hitec City, has launched a state-of-the-art Advanced Eye Centre offering specialised cataract, retina, corneal and neuro-ophthalmology services. Inaugurated by Amala Akkineni, the facility provides advanced diagnostic, surgical and retinal care through modern technology and specialised ophthalmology expertise.

Hyderabad: Medicover Hospitals, Hitec City on Friday launched a state-of-the-art Advanced Eye Centre offering comprehensive Cataract, Retina, Refractive, Corneal, and Neuro-Ophthalmology services under one roof which was inaugurated by actress and philanthropist Amala Akkineni.

The centre is designed to deliver world-class diagnosis, treatment, and surgical care for a wide spectrum of eye disorders through advanced technology, precision-driven procedures, and an experienced team of ophthalmology specialists, a press release said.

It offers specialized Retina and Vitreo-Retinal services including Retina Lasers, treatment for Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP), Diabetic Vitrectomy, Retinal Detachment Surgeries, management of Uveitis, and treatment for post-cataract surgical complications.

In the area of cataract care, the centre is equipped to perform modern procedures including Phacoemulsification with Foldable Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation and Small Incision Cataract Surgery, ensuring enhanced precision, faster recovery, and improved visual outcomes for patients.
