Megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela to be felicitated by UK Parliament on this day
On the same platform, Bridge India will be presenting the megastar with the "Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public service through Cultural Leadership".
Hyderabad: Telugu cinema’s iconic hero, megastar Chiranjeevi Konidela will be hosted and felicitated at the House of Commons – UK Parliament, for his exemplary services to the society through the power of his cultural influence.
The felicitation will be done by Navendu Mishra, MP of the ruling Labour Party from Stockport – UK, on March 19. Other MPs who would be gracing the occasion include Sojan Joseph, and Bob Blackman, among others.
Subsequently, on the same platform, Bridge India will be recognising the tremendous contributions of Chiranjeevi to cinema, public service and philanthropy, by presenting him with the “Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public service through Cultural Leadership”.
Bridge India is a prominent organisation in the UK that works on shaping public policy. Bridge India celebrates individuals whose influence extends beyond their professional achievements to create a lasting social impact. This is the first time the organisation is presenting an award for Lifetime Achievement to any individual. This honour adds yet another feather in the prized cap of Chiranjeevi.
These recognitions are special in terms of being presented on an international stage by lawmakers of the UK and a renowned organisation like Bridge India.
It is known that in the year 2024, Chiranjeevi was conferred India’s second highest civilian award ‘Padma Vibhushan’. In the same year, Chiranjeevi was honoured with the Guinness World Record as the Most Prolific Actor / Dancer. Chiranjeevi was also bestowed the prestigious ANR National Award in the ANR Centennial year in 2024 by the Akkineni International Foundation.
