Mehdipatnam police arrest four-member gang in mobile snatching case
Mehdipatnam police arrested four members of an inter-state gang involved in mobile phone snatching. They recovered 21 stolen phones and cash worth Rs 6 lakh. The gang allegedly targeted railway stations and bus terminals, handing stolen phones to absconding associates.

Hyderabad: The Mehdipatnam police arrested four members of an inter-state gang involved in mobile phone snatching and recovered 21 stolen cell phones along with cash, altogether worth Rs 6 lakh, on Thursday.
The arrested persons are Anil Kumar Nonia, Paran Kumar, Deva Kumar and Gourav Nonia, all from West Bengal and Jharkhand.
Police said the gang had travelled to Hyderabad with the intention of targeting crowded areas such as railway stations and bus terminals. They allegedly snatched mobile phones from unsuspecting commuters. They further handed them over in bulk to their absconding associates for disposal and making easy money.
