Mehdipatnam police arrested four members of an inter-state gang involved in mobile phone snatching. They recovered 21 stolen phones and cash worth Rs 6 lakh. The gang allegedly targeted railway stations and bus terminals, handing stolen phones to absconding associates.
School children said they repeatedly feared they were about to die during the 16-hour ordeal despite attempts by their parents to reassure them over cellphones.
