Mentally unstable man kills parents in Hyderabad’s Neredmet

A man suffering from mental health issues allegedly killed his elderly parents at their Neredmet home in Hyderabad. Police said Srinivas, who was under treatment, attacked his parents Rajaiah and Lakshmi with a stick. A manhunt is underway.

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a mentally unstable son allegedly killed his elderly parents at their house in Neredmet on Sunday.

The man identified Srinivas, who was staying with his parents Rajaiah and Lakshmi, brutally murdered them by beating to death with stick.

According to police, Srinivas had been undergoing treatment for mental health issues at Government Mental Health Centre in Erragadda for past some months.

About a month ago, his parents brought him back home. On Sunday night, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, Srinivas lost control and attacked his parents, killing them on the spot.

The Neredmet police reached the spot and took up investigation. Efforts are on to nab Srinivas.
