Hyderabad: Sweaters and blankets are back again, as minimum temperatures in the city are plummeting below 20 degrees Celsius after a break. In the last week, Hyderabad has seen the mercury dropping below normal on most nights.

While the temperatures are soaring during the day, the lowest temperature recorded in the city during the early hours of Friday was 14.4 degrees Celsius. Several localities in the city, including Serilingampally, Rajendranagar, Patancheruvu, and Jubilee Hills, recorded temperatures below 18 degrees Celsius during the early morning hours.
According to officials at the India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad (IMD-H), the minimum temperature in areas such as Secunderabad, LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, Mehdipatnam, Saroornagar, Khairatabad, Amberpet, Malakpet, Begumpet and Malkajgiri, is likely to drop to 14 degrees Celsius in the next two days. The maximum temperature in the city is likely to be around 31 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, due to the low-pressure area forming over the south Andaman Sea around November 29, light to moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in Telangana during the next week.
