MGU VC suggests students to learn skills required for job market

Nalgonda: Vice Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University Prof. Challati Gopal Reddy on Saturday exhorted the students to learn the skills in tune with the requirement of the job market that would pave way for their bright future.

Inaugurating a job mela held in the university, Prof. Reddy said that the students should improve their skills and knowledge keeping in mind requirements of the industries. The university would also conduct skill development training to its students, he added.

He said that the University placement cell has been conducting job melas, in which several private companies were participating to recruit students. The students should focus on getting the jobs in campus recruitments, in which merit would be the first criteria for selection of the candidates by the companies, he added.

Placements Cell in-charge Dr Y Prashanthi said that 23 companies participated in the job mela, which was organizing in the university for this year. About 400 students were registered their names to attend the job melas he added.
