Hyderabad: Microsoft launched its flagship Data Center Academy (DCA) at IIIT Hyderabad. It provides hands-on, industry-aligned training that equips learners with practical skills essential for data centre operations and management. The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with Young India Skills University (YISU), United Way of Hyderabad as the non-profit partner, and Selasian Consultancy Services as the training partner.
The Data Center Academy is a first-of-its-kind learning pathway in India, designed to prepare candidates for entry and mid-level roles across the data centre ecosystem. The programme spans 600 hours over three months and features industry-led modules delivered through real-world learning environments.
The course covers a wide range of essential topics, including data centre fundamentals, infrastructure setup, standards and best practices, power and cooling systems, ICT and network infrastructure, equipment racks, electromagnetic fields, water supply systems, security and safety management, statutory compliance and facilities management, said a press release.
