Hyderabad: Mild tension prevailed at Gun Park in Nampally on Monday when people of various organisations were protesting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent comments on the formation of Telangana.
People’s Organisations Joint Action Committee (PO JAC) chairman Gajjela Kantham, SC Corporation ex-chairman P Ravi and BC Janasabha president Rajaram Yadav had called for the protest, and planned to take out a rally to the State BJP Office in Nampally after paying tributes at the Telangana Martyr’s Memorial, Gun Park. However, the police thwarted their attempt and took the protestors into preventive custody. They were let off later in the evening.
