Miraculous escape for a youth in Jagitial

A youth Yashwanth was caught fire while setting fire on Mahisasura flexie during Dasara celebrations

Jagitial: It was a miraculous escape for a youth who was caught on fire in a process to set fire on Mahisasura flexie as part of Dasara celebrations held in Jagitial on Sunday.

Dasara celebrations were held in agriculture market yard premises on Sunday night. Youths from two groups entered into the argument as the organisers changed the chief guest at the last moment.

Meanwhile, a youth Yashwanth, who took Durga Matha diksha, doused Mahisasura flexie with petrol to set it on fire. However, an unknown person threw a burning log at flexie from some distance. As a result, the flexie set on fire unexpectedly.

Yashwanth, who was very close to flexie, was surrendered by flames. Shocked over the sudden incident, people who attended the celebrations ran helter-skelter.

Alerted over the incident, organisers immediately shifted Yashwanth to hospital where he was declared out of danger. Yashwanth escaped from the incident without any injuries and his shirt was burnt in flames.

In this regard, no case was registered with police.
