Miscreants kill woman, attacked her husband in Bollaram
A woman from Bihar was allegedly murdered after unidentified miscreants intercepted the motorcycle she was travelling on with her husband near IDA Bollaram. Her husband was injured in the attack, while police are also probing a possible sexual assault angle
Sangareddy: In a shocking incident, unidentified miscreants waylaid and killed a woman who was riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by her husband near IDA Bollaram. Police said the miscreants intercepted the couple’s two-wheeler and dragged the woman into nearby bushes. When her husband tried to stop them, they attacked him with a knife. The miscreants later killed the woman by slitting her throat with a knife near IDA Bollaram.
According to the IDA Bollaram police, the couple, Anil Kumar and Meena from Bihar, were residing in Venkateshwara Colony in Bollaram. They were on their way home after purchasing vegetables in a neighbouring village on Saturday evening.
However, unidentified miscreants intercepted their two-wheeler and attacked them when they resisted. Anil was rushed to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the Bollaram police were trying to ascertain whether the accused had also sexually assaulted the woman.
