Mishmi Kondalu book launched at author, teacher KVVS Murthy’s retirement ceremony

Kothagudem: A book titled ‘Mishmi Kondalu’ (Mishmi Hills), translated by noted author and teacher KVVS Murthy, was launched at a ceremony held on the premises of Nannapaneni Mohan ZP High School in Bhadrachalam in the district.
Mishmi Kondalu is the Telugu translation of the book The Black Hill, written in English by Padma Shri awardee Mamang Dai, the most celebrated writer from Arunachal Pradesh. The book launch coincided with Murthy’s retirement ceremony.
He served as a school assistant and taught social studies at the school during his 37 years of service. School headmaster Konakanchi Srinivasa Rao lauded Murthy’s honest and memorable service in the field of education.
Renowned writer Siramshetti Kantha Rao remarked that Murthy’s life had been truly meaningful, having shaped many children into successful individuals during his teaching career. Murthy, who has left a distinct mark as an author and translator, would contribute more literary works for future generations, he hoped.
Rallabandi Balaji Rao analysed some of the books translated by Murthy. Songs created using AI technology by Tanniru Srinivasa Rao captivated the audience. School teachers, Murthy’s well-wishers Srinivasa Reddy, Kallam Satyanarayana, Komaram Srinivasa Rao, Swarnanjani, Naga Suvarchala, GV Ramayya, Venkatramu, Patel Lakshminarayana, Balakrishna, Dr Manjula, Bharati, Dhanikonda Srinivasa Rao, SMC Chairwoman Shirisha and others were present.
