Mission Prakruti completes first year in Telangana schools
The TGSWREIS, in collaboration with WWF-India, marked the first anniversary of Mission Prakruti, an environmental education initiative involving 1.75 lakh students across 238 schools in Telangana.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TGSWREIS), in partnership with WWF-India, celebrated the successful completion of the first year of Mission Prakruti, a student-led environmental education programme aimed at fostering environmental stewardship among school children.
Mission Prakruti, launched in partnership between WWF-India and TGSWREIS, has successfully engaged all 238 TGSWREIS schools, reaching more than 1.75 lakh students across Telangana. Over the past year, students have actively participated in biodiversity conservation, waste management, water conservation, campus greening, plastic reduction, and other sustainability initiatives, transforming their schools into centres of environmental learning and action.
As part of the celebrations, 10 schools, selected from among the 238 participating schools, were honoured for their exceptional commitment, innovation, teamwork, and leadership in implementing Mission Prakruti.
The award-winning schools were TGSWREIS (Girls), Eklara (Kamareddy); TGSWREIS (Girls), Nizamabad (Kanjara); TGSWREIS (Boys), Mancherial (Mancherial); TGSWREIS (Girls), Isnapur (Sangareddy); TGSWREIS (Girls), Valigonda (Yadadri Bhuvanagiri); TGSWREIS (Girls), Tekulapally (Khammam); TGSWREIS (Girls), Jangaon (Narmetta); TGSWREIS (Girls), Palvoncha (Bhadradri Kothagudem); TGSWREIS (Girls), Narsimhulapeta (Mahabubabad); and TGSWREIS (Girls), Chevella (Ranga Reddy).
