Miyapur police rescue child from alleged abuse by mother and stepfather
In a disturbing case from Hyderabad, Miyapur police arrested a woman and her second husband for allegedly torturing her six-year-old daughter. The child, who was living with the couple in Old Hafizpet, was rescued after locals noticed injuries and alerted authorities.

According to the police, the girl stayed with her mother Shabana and step father Jaweed, at Old Hafeezpet in Miyapur. The woman, following family issues, had divorced her first husband, Babu Miya and then married Jaweed.
Two days ago, the girl was playing outside the house when some local people noticed injuries on her body and inquired with her. When the girl told them that her mother and step father were torturing her, the residents informed the police.
The police took the girl into their protective custody and sent her for a medical examination at a nearby hospital. A case was registered later against Shabana and Jaweed. Both of them were arrested. The girl was later handed over to the biological father, Babu Miya, after due process, said Miyapur police.
