Medical students run to raise awareness against substance abuse at Anastomoz 2025
Hundreds of medical students gathered at KBR Park, Hyderabad, for a special awareness run against substance abuse, marking the kickoff of Anastomoz-2025, the annual inter-medical college fest hosted by Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research.

Hyderabad: Over 400 medical students participated in a special run organised for the cause of preventing substance abuse, as part of the inter-medical college fest, ‘Anastomoz – 2025’ organised by Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR) at KBR Park on Sunday.
The week-long, Anastomoz-2025, which began on October 5, is the flagship annual cultural, sports, and literary fest of AIMSR that brings together students from different medical colleges across Telangana.
The theme for this year’s Anastomoz-2025 is ‘Dive into the Mediverse of Madness’ which invites participants to explore a world of innovation, expression, and competition through a rich lineup of events including a mix of indoor and outdoor sports tournaments, a press release said.
The run was inaugurated by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar in the presence of Dr. K. Manohar, Dean, Aparna Reddy, COO, AIMSR, senior doctors and students.
