Warangal: Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar said that Rs 10 lakh would be sanctioned from the special development funds (SDF) for the Mallikambha Manovikasa Kendram in Hanamkonda for the benefit of persons with disabilities (PWDs).

The State government was taking several steps for the welfare and development of persons with disabilities in the State, Bhaskar said, speaking at a programme organised as part of the week-long celebrations of Persons with Disability at Mallikamba Manovikasa Kendram here on Saturday.

On the occasion, jobs cards have been handed over to 1,766 persons with disabilities and added that 540 PWDs would get employment opportunities through 114 ‘Srama Shakti Sangalu’. As many as 11 people were also provided with Rs 5.50 lakh financial assistance, while retrofitted motorcycles were given to 27 people, tabs/laptops to 6 people and 4G smartphones to 11 PWD at the programme.
