MLC Kavitha lashes out at Congress govt over groundnut farmers’ plight

Hyderabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha lashed out at Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy over the crisis faced by groundnut farmers in Mahbubnagar. She blamed the Congress government for ignoring their distress, while traders exploit them even as prices remain unremunerative.

“Farmers are struggling with low yields and unfair pricing, yet the government remains blind to their suffering,” she said.

Taking to X, Kavitha criticised the administration for allowing traders and commission agents to manipulate market prices while police presence in market yards worsens farmers’ ordeal. Calling the Congress government a vulture, she warned that the farming community would not forgive its apathy. She demanded immediate action to ensure fair pricing and curb exploitation, urging the government to wake up before the situation worsens.
