Kumram Bheem Asifabad: BRS MLC K Kavitha demanded the government to extend all support to the kin of Ch Shailaja, who died of food poisoning at a Tribal Welfare Department’s hostel recently. She along with MLAs Anil Jadhav and Kova Laxmi consoled parents of the girl at Dhabha village in Wankidi mandal on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Kavitha flayed the government for failing to provide quality food to inmates of hostels run by various departments, resulting in food poisoning and deaths of students. She held the government responsible for the death of Shailaja. She wanted it to extend all the support to the hapless parents of the girl, a Class IX student who breathed her last while undergoing treatment in NIMS-Hyderabad on November 25.

Later, she interacted with coal miners of Goleti area in Rebbena mandal who took out a massive bike rally to mark her arrival. She earlier visited an Ashram school for girls in Jainoor mandal and a government hospital in Jainoor mandal centre.
