Nalgonda: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Monday said that the graduate voters should negate the false propaganda of opposition parties against the State government by voting for TRS candidate Palla Rajeshwar Reddy in the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates MLC elections.

Speaking at a preparatory meeting at Nakrekal in the district in connection with the MLC elections, he said the opposition parties have been spreading false propaganda against the State government to win the MLC elections. “It is unfortunate that TJS candidate Prof Kodandaram is also making statements that support the false propaganda of the opposition parties. Educated citizens are well aware of the conditions that prevailed in Telangana before and after 2014 and the commitment of the TRS government to develop the State as well as implementation of welfare schemes,” he said.

Stating that employees were also part of the State government, he said that the employees were playing a crucial role in implementation of the welfare schemes taken up by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He said that 24 hours free electricity to the farmers, increased irrigation facilities, Rythu bandhu and schemes taken up by the State government for revival of caste-based professions have improved the living condition of the people in the State, particularly in rural areas.

Schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Kalyana Lakshmi and KCR kits were not implemented in any other State in the country except Telangana, he added. He exuded confidence that employees would support TRS candidate in graduates MLC elections. Coming down heavily on the Narendra Modi government, he said that the policy decisions of the BJP government at the Centre have caused an additional financial burden on the people in the country. Hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG would also show an adverse impact on the lives of the people. The policies of BJP government increased the wealth of corporates and hit the common people hard. He strongly criticised the Centre for its decision to privatise the public sector units (PSUs) at the cost of the unemployed.

Earlier, he also met the advocates on the premises of Junior Civil Judge Court at Nakrekal and sought their support for TRS candidate in the graduates MLC elections. Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Nethi Vidhya Sagar, Rajya Sabha member Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy and Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthi Lingaiah also attended the meeting.
