Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials jointly inspected Begumpet on Saturday to identify jurisdictional boundaries and streamline civic services.
MMC Commissioner T Vinay Krishna Reddy and senior GHMC officials conducted the inspection. A press release said clarity over jurisdiction would improve coordination in sanitation, waste collection and other civic services.
Meanwhile, Vinay Krishna Reddy directed MMC Urban Biodiversity officials to expedite greenery restoration and landscaping beneath Begumpet flyover and remove unnecessary materials, debris and obstructions along the median.
At Fatehnagar flyover, he ordered the removal of disused shops, unwanted materials and other obstructions beneath the structure to facilitate its development for public use. Officials were also asked to prepare proposals for road construction and repairs to ensure smooth traffic movement on both sides.
