MMC cracks whip on unauthorised hoardings, warns strict action against violators

Malkajgiri Municipal Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy inspected several colonies in Hyderabad, ordering the removal of unauthorised hoardings, checking trade licences, and directing officials to curb illegal dumping of construction waste to maintain civic cleanliness.

Hyderabad: Commissioner of Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) T Vinay Krishna Reddy directed the officials to remove unauthorised hoardings and advertisement boards across the civic body limits.

Vinay Krishna Reddy visited Keshav Nagar, Hanuman Nagar Colony, Brindavan Colony and West Hanuman Nagar along with officials and warned that strict legal action will be taken against unauthorised hoardings.


He directed the officials regarding immediate removal of unauthorised hoardings and advertisement boards placed on electric poles and public walls in West Hanuman Nagar and Brindavan Colony. He emphasised on preventing the misuse of public spaces and maintaining cleanliness.

Later, he inspected commercial establishments in Hanuman Nagar Colony and inquired about trade licences. He instructed officials to ensure that all business establishments obtain trade licences and display them prominently in front of their shops.

The Commissioner noticed illegal dumping of construction waste and garbage in several vacant plots in Keshav Nagar, Road No. 3 and Brindavan Colony. He suggested that officials contact the respective plot owners to initiate immediate clean-up action and take preventive measures to avoid such illegal dumping in the future.
