MMC orders closure of slaughterhouses, meat shops on September 4

The Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation has ordered all sheep, goat and cattle slaughterhouses and retail meat and beef shops within its limits to remain closed on September 4 for Sri Krishna Janmashtami. Officials have been directed to ensure strict compliance.

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy on Thursday ordered the closure of all sheep, goat, and cattle slaughterhouses and retail meat and beef shops within MMC limits on September 4 for Sri Krishna Janmashtami.

In a press release, the MMC commissioner urged all establishments concerned to comply strictly with the closure order. He also directed MMC officials concerned to enforce it.
