Mancherial: Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavati Rathod on Sunday said the TRS workers would be rewarded if they patiently strive for the growth of the party in the State.

Attending the election for the 27th ward committee of the TRS party held here, Satyavathi stated that the TRS was synonymous with discipline. She said that disciplined leaders would have a bright future, citing her rise as an example. She recalled that she was given the party ticket although she lost to her opponent in the past for sincerely working for the growth of the party.

Stating that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s administration was outstanding though he faced humiliations and hardships when he floated the party, the Minister said no other State was implementing welfare schemes on the lines of Telangana.

The Minister said that 40 lakh persons were getting social security pensions in the State. She cited the provision of fine quality rice to students, KCR Kits to new mothers, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Beema and Kalyana Lakshmi schemes. She stated that 1.60 crore acres were now being irrigated in the TRS regime as against 30 lakh irrigated in the past. She felt that the schemes and developmental activities by the TRS govt helped the party to win the mandate of the voters for the second time.

Satyavathi found fault with the BJP for taking Padayatra in Telangana. She wondered why the opposition party embarked on the walkathon. She advised the leaders of the outfit to organise a protest till Delhi and get the the prices of commodities reduced. She alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who claims to have sold tea at railway stations, was trying to sell the country to corporate firms.

She further regretted that insurance giant Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) were being privatised by the BJP government at the Centre. As a result, financially challenged communities and tribals were unable to get jobs with the organisations. She stated that the Chief Minister would introduce more innovative schemes and was an able administrator. She added that Dalit Bandhu would inspire the country.

The Minister, later took part in the similar events held in Bellampalli constituency.
