Modified silencers of motorbikes removed, fines imposed in Khammam
So far traffic police have removed about 300 modified silencers in the city, Traffic Inspector of Police Mohan Babu said
Khammam: Traffic Inspector of Police Mohan Babu informed that the modified silencers of 20 bullet bikes have been removed and a fine of Rs 1000 imposed on each motorist.
A special drive was being conducted in Khammam city by traffic police on bullet vehicles running with modified silencers as per the orders of Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt. The drive was taken up as some youths were changing the original company fitted silencers with silencers making strange loud noises causing problems to people, he said.
So far traffic police have removed about 300 modified silencers in the city, the CI said. Sub-Inspectors Ravi and Sagar participated in the programme.
