The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues extended wishes to the former cricketer. His cricketer’s induction marks the second cabinet expansion since the Congress government assumed office in December 2023. In June this year, three MLAs were sworn in as Ministers.
With the induction of the former cricketer into the cabinet, two berths are still vacant in the cabinet. TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said the Congress government would take a decision on the remaining berths in December this year.
