Month-long coaching offered by DSO concludes in Asifabad’s Kagaznagar
A month-long free coaching programme for TG POLYCET and competitive examinations concluded at Kagaznagar in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district. Conducted voluntarily by District Science Officer Katakam Madhukar and government teachers, the initiative benefited 150 financially poor students from different parts of the district
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A month-long free coaching programme for aspirants of Telangana Polytechnic Common Entrance Test and competitive examinations concluded on the premises of the Divisional Resource Centre (DRC) in Kagaznagar town on Tuesday. The programme was conceived and voluntarily conducted by District Science Officer Katakam Madhukar.
Katakam Madhukar said the coaching began on April 15 and concluded on May 12. He stated that subject experts and government teachers namely Madhukar, Shabir, Mohan, Shyamsundar, Thriveni and Shanti Kumari offered coaching to 150 students at the DRC. Financially poor students, who studied Class X in government schools from different parts of the district, availed the initiative held between 8 am and 1 pm.
Madhukar, a government teacher working at a school in Vempalli village in Kagaznagar mandal, stated that the teachers taught various subjects, helping students easily crack TG POLYCET. They also empowered aspirants of various government jobs by teaching different subjects during the programme. He added that snacks sponsored by private colleges and gruel supplied by Koneru Trust were provided to the students.
Significantly, over 400 students attended the coaching programme in the last three years. Of them, nearly 350 students managed to clear the entrance test and examinations held for admissions into Social, BC and ST welfare residential schools. Students not only from the district, but also from neighbouring districts and Hyderabad, were coming forward to undergo the coaching considering its outstanding quality, Madhukar claimed.
The students thanked Madhukar and mandal educational officer Vasala Prabhakar for offering the coaching. They stated that the initiative was beneficial to them.
