Mother kills mentally challenged son in Peddapalli

Shekhar and Shyamala, residents of Mogalpur in Peddapalli town, have two sons. Their younger son, Bunny (14), was mentally challenged. The parents made the rounds of hospitals to provide treatment to him but in vain. Vexed by her son’s health condition, Shyamala decided to kill him.

Shekhar and Shyamala, residents of Mogalpur in Peddapalli town, have two sons. Their younger son, Bunny (14), was mentally challenged. The parents made the rounds of hospitals to provide treatment to him but in vain. Vexed by her son’s health condition, Shyamala decided to kill him.

Peddapalli: A woman killed her mentally challenged son by pushing him into an agriculture well in Peddapalli town on Tuesday morning.

According to police, Shekhar and Shyamala, residents of Mogalpur in Peddapalli town, have two sons. Their younger son, Bunny (14), was mentally challenged. The parents made the rounds of hospitals to provide treatment to him but in vain.

Vexed by her son’s health condition, Shyamala decided to kill him. On Tuesday morning, she left home with Bunny under the pretext of taking him to the hospital.

Instead, she took Bunny to an agriculture well behind Sahaja MBA College near Peddammagudi and pushed him into it. Bunny died on the spot.

On getting information about the incident, Peddapalli police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the well and shifted it to Peddapalli hospital for postmortem.

Police, who registered a case, took Shyamala into custody and are questioning her.
