Mother-son duo wins on BRS tickets in Medak municipality

Medak: A woman and her son were elected from two different wards on BRS tickets in Medak municipality, where the party won 15 of the 32 wards.
Batti Lalitha, wife of senior BRS leader Jagapathi, was elected from the 17th ward, while the couple’s son Uday won from the 29th ward.
The Congress party came second, securing 14 wards, while the BJP and BSP won one ward each. However, within hours of the results, the Congress lured the BSP candidate into the party.
