Motorists now have to pay fee to drive through Pranahita wildlife sanctuary in Mancherial
In a statement, District Forest Officer Shiv Aasheesh Singh mentioned that a proposal to implement the tax had been submitted to the government for approval. He explained that the fee would be collected from motorists passing through the sanctuary in the future. Check-posts will be set up at Yenchepalli Reserve Forest, Parpalli, and Kishtampet Y Junction to enforce the regulation.

Mancherial: The Forest department will collect an environmental fee from motorists passing through Pranahita blackbucks wildlife sanctuary in Chennur division soon.
In a statement, District Forest Officer Shiv Aasheesh Singh said that a proposal to levy the tax was submitted to the government, seeking its nod. He stated that the fee would be collected from the motorists who would cross the sanctuary in near future. Check-posts would be erected at Yenchepalli reserve forest, Parpalli and Kishtampet Y junction to enforce the norm.
The IFS officer further said that the environment fee was going to be utilized to lift garbage, plastic waste, and leftover food items in the sanctuary.
A similar environment fee was being collected from motorists passing through Kawal Tiger Reserve in Jannaram mandal.
