Adilabad: Residents of Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal celebrated the birthday of BRS working president KT Rama Rao a day in advance on Tuesday, showering flowers on his flex poster in a symbolic gesture of gratitude.
Men and women gathered in local farmlands to perform ‘pushpabhishekam’ to Rama Rao’s poster, hailing his contributions to farmers and development in Telangana. They credited former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for introducing schemes such as Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima, and for ensuring uninterrupted power supply and irrigation support to the agriculture sector.
The villagers alleged that current Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had betrayed farmers by failing to fulfil his promises. They pointed to the delay in the release of Rythu Bharosa assistance as a key concern affecting the farming community.
Describing Telangana as a role model State under the leadership of Rama Rao, the villagers recalled the establishment of IT towers and generation of employment opportunities during the BRS government’s tenure. They extended wishes of health and happiness to the BRS leader on the occasion.
